Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has been named the Premier League’s Manager of the Month.
The tactician has been honoured with the prestigious award for leading the Cherries to a number of wins throughout the month of January including a stunning 3-0 victory over defending champions Chelsea on January 31.
Howe has quickly come to be considered as one of the most influential managers in the Premier League and a true success story, having made history in January 2009 by becoming the youngest manager of the then English Football League (EFL) side and of the competition itself.
The Englishman saw off the likes of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and particularly Manchester City shotcaller Pep Guardiola, who had had a stranglehold on the award since September last year on account of the league leaders’ success this season.
