AS Roma Vs Barcelona betting preview: Can the Romans do the unexpected?

The Stadio Olimpico in Rome will on Tuesday night host the second leg of the CL fixture between Roma and Barcelona, as the hosts look to overcome the odds and overturn a 4-1 deficit.
The Giallorossi scored two own goals in their visit to Barcelona and they need something special if they are to progress to the semi-finals. Even though Barcelona was not impressive in front of the 90,106 fans in attendance at the Camp Nou, they managed to get four past Allison, with Pique and Suarez scoring for the home side.
Lionel Messi and Edin Dzeko
These two will be vital for their teams.
Messi inspired the Blaugrana with a hat-trick to defeat Leganes 3-1 over the weekend. He has been in fine form and there is always a difference when he starts for Barcelona and when he’s off. It goes without saying that he will be the game changer on Tuesday.
Roma fell to a 2-0 home defeat to Florentina which leaves the Romans in fourth place in Serie A. Edin Dzeko had several shots on target but was unlucky this time around. Despite finding the net for the crucial away goal Vs Barcelona in the first leg, Dzeko and Co. definitely have a lot to do.
History
The two sides have met severally and as expected, Barca has always emerged victorious.
In the 2015/2016 Champions League group stages, Barcelona won 6-1 at the Camp Nou with Messi and Suarez shining and Dzeko bagging a consolation for the visitors.
Does Roma have any chance?
In as much as Roma go in as underdogs, Barcelona does not have a decent away record.
In the Champions League, Barcelona isunbeaten since their 3-0 loss at Juventus last season. They have won five and drawn three of their Champions League games this season, and it’s worth noting that all of these failures to win have come away from home.
The Catalan giants do really struggle to get goals away from home in the Champions League. They have failed to score against both Olympiakos and Juventus this season and have scored a total of just two goals in their four trips away.
The Romans might not manage to oust Barcelona, but they will certainly have a say in the final leg.
